After you have received acceptance from a regular educational program in Korea as a regular student or a language student, you must get a student visa by submitting the documents required for entry into Korea. Work Rights During Studies

  • Foreign students enrolled in a regular course of study may engage in part-time work of no more than 20 hours a week during semester time, and unlimited work during vacation time under the foreign student part-time work provisions of the Ministry of Justice.
  • It is required that you be a foreign student who have received the recommendation of your supervising professor, you have a study visa (D-2, D-4), you must have completed six months study at a tertiary education institution of at least the level of a junior college

Language Required

  • If you have successfully completed your High School studies you will normally require a foundation course before you can be admitted to an undergraduate course.
  • Students who successfully pass the foundation course at Kent (or another foundation program acceptable to the University of Kent) will be considered for direct entry onto our undergraduate programmes.
  • We offer a one-year International Foundation Program (IFP), which has been designed especially for international students and guarantees entry onto the full undergraduate program on successful completion of the Foundation. This program includes English language development plus specialist options in Humanities.
