MCI Regulation

  • Indian Students who study MD degree in abroad countries should pass Foreign Medical Graduate Exam (FMGE) before they start clinical practice or take any exam in India for postgraduate courses.
  • Students who pursue MD degree in the Philippines universities can study almost same subjects that would help them to clear screening tests conducted by National Board of Examinations in India. Pass Percentage is high in candidates who study MBBS degree in Asian countries such as Philippines compared to other Asian countries. This examination is held twice on June and December every year.
  • It lasts for 5 years and 4 months followed by one year internship which can be undertaken in India after completion of Screening test and procuring Provisional Registration of MCI.
  • After successful completion of Screening Test and internship, the student is eligible to register with MCI and State Medical Councils and can practice in India
